In talking about CEM prep for the Bgham grammar school entrance exams it would be useful to know the weighting for Verbal Reasoning (VR), Numerical Reasoning (NR) and Non Verbal Reasoning (NVR).

If VR accounts for 50% of the marks, does that mean that NR and NVR each account for 25% of the marks. And is that raw marks or standardised marks.

In the last few years there have been 2 standardised marks that are given in the results: one for VR/English and another for maths/NVR. So VR/English makes up 50% of the final score, with maths and NVR at 25% each.

Hello

I know they are about, as I found one for ds2, but cannot find the cem Birmingham/Warwick short practice/familiarisation papers. We have the bexley practice, and the bucks familiarisation but that is all, and I thought as they seem to be much easier than the real test it would be a good way to very gently introduce ds3 to the notion that in fact he is actually preparing for an exam, not just being nagged.

Can anyone help with links etc.....Sorry for my ineptitude.

Thank you okanagan, there is enough there along with the bucks and bexley for me to chop about and give him a little test which is not too scary but along the tight lines :D

hi southbucks3

like you, I am trying to collate the CEM style familiarisation papers across all the areas that have this style of exam format. I did browse through some of the threads in other regions but am unable to locate it. Is there an easier way of finding them or if anyone has located them already, would you mind sharing it.

many thanks
