I know it's more than a bit late to be asking this question but we would very much appreciate
hearing of people's experiences (good and bad) using the Green Bus from Shirley (Stratford Road)
to Aston.

Thanks in advance

Hi

Not the same route, but my DD gets the Green Bus from Sutton to Camp Hill. I have been very impressed with the service we have received - they send out text updates if the service is delayed at all (we get on at the start of the route, and I sometimes get messages to say it's delayed further down on the route and for the kids to wait safely at their stop

When we had the snow they were brilliant - we actually found out via the twitter feed first that the schools were closed - they had obviously been negotiating with the schools to help with the decision making, especially as so mnay of the kids use the buses.

For us it makes a long day - I drop her at the bus stop (too far to walk) at 7.00 and she gets back about 5.15ish. She has a great social life on the bus and her time spent of the bus definitely helpes her wind down from the day so she arrives home ready and happy to tackle homwork.

Hope that helps.

(No child going through it all this time, but DD2 will sit in September. Well done to everyone who has managed to get a place this year. I'm more stressed this time with the prospect of getting DD2 to follow in her sister's footsteps!)

Don't know about that one specifically but I have heard they are good, just very expensive and as there is only one you have to make sure you catch it! Also can be an issue with after school clubs but I think Aston try to keep most things to lunchtime.

Thanks so much for this post. Got the news today that my daughter has secured a place at Camp Hill and this has eased my fears of her catching the Green Bus from North Birmingham.
