Travel to Brum schools from Wolves

Post by FunkyMonkey »

Hi. Please can anyone tell us which, if any, Birmingham boys grammar schools provide transport from the Wolverhampton area?

Also, which schools are easily commutable, I.e. less than 40 minutes from town centre area.

Many thanks.

You need to look at the Green Bus website http://www.thegreenbus.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and also http://www.travelinemidlands.co.uk/wmti ... anguage=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for public bus information. Just type in your postcode and that of the school and you'll have all your answers.

Only KEFW has a Green Bus from the Wolverhampton area.

Adams Grammar in Newport runs a minibus from Wolverhampton.

Train direct from Wolverhampton stops at Aston for KEA and at Sutton Coldfield for BV ( no direct train back).

Looks like there are no green buses to Birmingham schools next school year.

I feel that public transport would be too arduous as my youngest would need to first need to get to Wolverhampton train station.

There is a Green Bus to Five Ways which passes the Fighting Cocks about 0700.

The minibus to Adams leaves Wolverhampton at around 0750.
