Do you mean the Schofield and Sims Mental Arithmetic books?

I have used them for my children, they look like this:

http://www.schofieldandsims.co.uk/produ ... ithmetic-5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you go to the above link, you can click and see some sample pages. They are easily available from Amazon, WhSmith etc as well.

Hi I read your pm, thank you, thought I would reply here.

The English one is probably

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Progress-Papers ... d_sxp_f_pt" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Which is normal price.

The maths one

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Progress-Papers ... athematics" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Seems overpriced but not as much, depends how much you really want it I suppose.

Do percentages, angles and perimeters/areas appear in the Bgham CEM exam. My DS is not competent on these topics and I may start these from scratch with him.

No one can answer that question definitively as we haven't seen the Birmingham exam....but they are certainly basic maths topics so it would be best to cover them.
Protractor skills are not needed as obviously the children will not have protractors in the exam. Children may be expected to understand angles though.
