Wolverhampton Girls' High School
DD due to start in September & starting to worry. Has anyone had experience of this school? How much homework is there? Are there many extra curriculum activities to join?
Re: Wolverhampton Girls' High School
My DD has been at WGHS for a year now and has had a wonderful experience. She has made a fantastic circle of friends and has thrown herself into school life. She does do lots of extra curricular activities but they are not compulsory, she also has music lessons on top and none of this seems to faze her. The homework was not as demanding as we expected and she has coped very well with it. In fact, I questioned why she didn't seem to have as much as we expected and was told a lot of girls do their homework in lesson time (if they have completed all their work) and at lunchtimes, which my DD does do. Her end of year report was very pleasing and she has thrived at WGHS. As long as your DD is very organised and prepared to work hard, she will blossom at this school. Hope this has helped to alleviate some of your worries.
