Wolverhampton Girls School

Post by girl-friday »

I was wondering if anybody could answer my queriey :? . As there are 108 places do the top 108 results get a different letter offering them a guaranteed place without waiting for the March allocation?

That's a good question. Was the letter same for all the eligible candidates?

That used to effectively be the case until last year when the results were given as a ranking. If your ranking was inside the number of available places they were essentially telling you that if you applied you would get a place. This year with the scores rather than the ranking being given, it isn't as clear cut.

So do we have to wait till March for this consortium's result? What should be the safety net? 5- 10 or more from the last year's eligible score? Please share your views.

Last years score 297 was the cut off point last year. As this years scores are similar, realistically it could mean that this years cut off point will most likely be probably in the range 298 - 307 approx. probably around the 302 mark, if I was going to make an estimate.
