Waiting lists

Post by Daffodil3969 »

Hello, hope someone can help with this one!
:?
I've been advised that the positive letters for the consortium this year (ie strongly encourage you to apply ) INCLUDE the waiting list, so how many letters do you think have been sent out over and above the actual places and do you think the entire waiting list is likely to get offers? I suspect we are near the bottom but without knowing the number of letters sent I don't know if we are the bottom of twenty or the bottom of fifty.

What have the Walsall/ wolverhampton/ newport schools said about it?

I thought if your child scored 297 or over, you would get a "strongly encourage to apply" wording. 297 being a baseline score for WGH,310 for QMHS, Not sure about Newport.
I guess it all depends on whether how many drop outs you are going to get and unfortunately we have to wait until March For that.Drop outs will happen as I know that a lot of girls sat consortium test, but live in telford and they may even select Thomas Telford rather than Newport
