Children can be so cruel. Sorry to hear your DC have suffered, it's just terrible. Wouldn't surprise me if it hadn't come from the parents. My DS only told a few people today about his AP and a few of them knowing I'm a single working mom said to him 'how are you going to afford that!' That's nothing to what some of your DC are going through though.
It could also be a possibility that children are picking up on their own parents anxiety over their school place. I guess some of ours knowing early makes them stand out. An easy target to channel negative energy. Let's hope it settled down after next week.
