Me too...save your money, get a great education behind her, with extra curricular and school based drama and singing and use money saved to fund driving her round to casting calls etc and/or university where she can specialise. Good grammars are better at drama than you think - ours had the producers from Paramount (if memory serves me right) in this term, and have shortlisted 12 to go through to final casting, and the current production from the drama department are currently touring the Globe in London, Oxford, Birmingham and Stratford in the next month. She can chase her dream whilst also building a reality.

I think I lot will depend on the Independent school - which one is it?

Some are better than others - even in the performing arts

Thanks everyone. Sorry I have only just seen your replies this evening! Unfortunately we are still pondering this whole situation and have not yet made a decision. However I feel we are leaning towards the grammar right now. We are planning to look around both schools again and write a list of pros/cons to help with our decision making. I will keep you posted! Aren't acceptances supposed to be confirmed today otherwise the GS will be lost?

Just a quick update...we opted for grammar. Just hope we have made the right decision! Thanks for your advice everyone!
