What happens if you reject your offer of your second choice
Dear parents
Please can you advise?DD has an offer at NGHS with a score of 317 OOA. We really like the school but we think its too far. WGHS is nearest or WGS which DD really likes.
Talking to DD if we reject the offer do we still stay on the waiting list for WGHS which was our first choice. DD is feeling that her place can go to to someone who is next on the list. I have to say it's so difficult to know what to do. If parents don't reject the unwanted offers then doesn't it mean waiting lists can't be sorted?
Any advice welcome. I think I might spontaneously combust thinking about it all

I think you accept the offer you have but ask to stay on the waiting list for the preferred school otherwise you might not have a school place at all.

Rejecting a place you never intend to take up is important. However, don't refuse a place purely because it's not what you really want and in the hope it will increase your chances of a higher preference. It won't, and in the case of a grammar school, once the place is gone you'll struggle to get it back.

Thank you happy dad. We made the journey yesterday and door to school it was 23mins so it was much quicker than I expected. We are going to look around the school on Monday morning. DD liked the look of the school so all is looking positive. Do you know which route the wolves coach takes and the stops made?

If you go onto Adams' website in the parents section there is travel which will show you. Currently three buses from wolves which all go to AGS then one bus takes the girls onto NGHS.
