Is it true the majority of intakes in recent years has been boys? Considered it for my daughter this year but put off by ratio of boys : girls. Otherwise liked the school.

They wont know this years ratio yet as there is still a lot of waiting list movement imminent. My ds is in y8 and has 6 girls in his class of 26.

So what I heard was right. 26:6
Makes me wonder why though.
I understand they wouldn't be able to tell this years ratio. I am hoping some forum members will reply if not about their own kids maybe somebody they know whose daughter may have got in or is in waiting list.

It's around 70/30 boys. One form this year 7 is 22/8 boys/girls. Two girls I know love it there and I do not hear much negative feedback that the girls are unhappy. 30% is over 300 girls in the school. Don't be put off its a great school.

Official figures off bbc website for school role is 67/33. Think 6th form might be more equal and lower down the school more boys orientated. Not sure.

As said, the 6th form distorts the overall figures. You can find year on year figures on the DoE website somewhere.
