It's All-ster ...

I used to have endless discussions with my Brummie nan about it! She would say Ul-ces-ter, because that's what the road through King's Health was called ...

Those of us born and bred say All-ster

DD never sat Birmingham test only Walsall...but will predict DNieces -Twin 1(the brighter one) 250+ and Twin 2 210 ...both have though very safe scores for QMGS so will not be accepting offers from Bham (if any) will update once scores are received good luck 2 all.

Anywhere you look for a prediction will have its caveats. My tutor said DD was just above borderline, but actual score doesn't suggest borderline. Equally she said friend was unlikely to pass and was right, but score was way below expected.

Who knows

Bob1892, just realised I used the wrong SD and need to recalculate!

SD of 37 is based on high/low scores - and mean of 300, not 100. So using an SD score of 37 for a 300 mean gives 25 ish for a 200 mean (and 12.33 for a 100 mean - in the 10-15 range), and mean my prediction comes down to 239, with a few knocked off for luck of 235 we'll say. That sounds more realistic to be fair.

Turtlegirl - I understand English is your strong area. So considering the weighting in Brum I would safely covert your 239 to 245.

Although my youngest is more the mathematician and was reluctant to learn vocab. Interested to see whether there is any correlation - there wasn't with his older brother (no idea with the oldest - she took the Walsall test before they went with CEM, and we didn't bother getting the result as she got her KEVIHS place).

55% may be 60% if you think it was easy
