Hi

Can someone tell me is the KES meeting on 23rd worth going to and anyone from this forum will be going as we thinking of going but not sure if we are going to accept the place. We will have to pay the fees and as having one son at another grammar school we are unsure at the moment.

Many Thanks

I suspect it will be quite interesting and looking at the date (a week before the GS allocations) it will be very much aimed at showing what a wonderful place it is and make you really want to send your sons there, Indie schools are very, very good at selling themselves. For this though they can't wait until after allocation day as they will be losing the battle by then.

Went to KES tonight. I thought it was really good to listen to the head and listen to some of the students views.
Seems like a great institution and great for any child to do well. The mix of children looked great.

Lots to think about...

If finance is an issue its a difficult decision otherwise it should be an easy decision now that your son has a 50% scholarship.I do not know if you have also applied for a bursary on his behalf ?

Choose what you think is right for your son and where he will be happiest.

Good luck in your deliberations. :D

We were there too, it was a good session with the usual chat on how good the school is and what it can offer. There is no denying KES is a wonderful school and as you have rightly pointed out Quasimodo, it is about finances as well as whether it is the school for your son.....! We are still unsure as we are also inclined towards KES Stratford where the only niggle is the longer journey. Solihull School tonight, more confusion added to the mix. Anyway, soon it'll be all over.
