We have received a welcome letter today from FW, enclosing a well done letter for DD and a Head's commendation chocolate bar.
There is an acceptance form to complete along with a confidential data sheet, to be completed and returned by 14th March.
They will be writing again soon with details of the year 7 open evening in April.
Impressed with how quickly they have done this and the chocolate bar is a lovely touch

It's not the size that matters, it's the quality

If we're talking chocolate, then definitely the bigger the better

It's about 10cm long and 4cm wide. Wrapped in silver foil with a white paper outer.
Belgian milk chocolate.
It has the school's crest on the front and says King Edward V1 Five Ways School , Head's commendation on the front and on the back says Well Done.
When DS got his welcome letter there wasn't any chocolate although since being at the school he has been awarded a chocolate bar on 2 occasions.
Maybe you should have picked FW after all

That is a nice touch from KEFW.
Sandwell comps are giving out knuckle dusters, with an embossed picture of the headteacher called the guvnor!
I dare not tell DD2 about it - Belgian chocolate an all!

We had a letter from CHB today too. No chocolate.
I do have a carrot cake though, as not that many old folk turned up for today's lunch club and I'd made a *lot* of cake. So carrot cake all round after school today I say. *offers virtual slices to MSD and other CHB parents*
