This is my first post since I joined the forum, your posts have been very supportive and reassuring. My son sat the Birmingham exam last week and came out declaring it was 'very simple'! . I don't know what that means but I advised him to tell people it was 'fine' rather than simple. Now to my dilemma......

I must have mistakenly ticked Adams grammar school as a preference for my son to sit the exam next Monday because our expectation is for a place in Walsall definitely not Shropshire since we live in north Birmingham. It appears that wherever you choose to sit the exam is taken to be your first choice of school! This is what I was told by QM when I called today. They couldn't change the test centre but advised me to contact Adams grammar. Adams asked me to email them after the exam. QM will only be considered if I ticked it as a preference. I honestly can't remember what I did when I registered cos it was last minute.
Any advise is welcomed

Email QM and Adams.
Explain that you are unsure whether you have checked the box for QM but would like to ask that it be checked for you late, as you would like the test score to be shared with QM as you intend to place it on your LA form.

Your son will still have to sit the exam in Adams. Enjoy the day-trip .

I contacted QM and they confirmed that I did include them as my 2nd choice! I simply need to indicate my preference once I get the LA forms.
