How do you get onto a waiting list for BV? DS scores 219- called school as advised by my LEA but they back to contact Birmingham LEA! Confused!

You need to have placed it higher on the CAF in October than the school you have been offered.
BCC will issue the positions (26th) on waiting list I believe, but on another thread Helen has linked to the Foundation Office website which has all the KE cutoffs (though I believe is just waiting on Vesey!)

We have had info about pupils who applied for BV with scores as follows:
221 not offered 222 - some offered and some not offered 223 offered
We can therefore reasonably assume - if this info is all correct as we believe it is - that the cut-off for BV is 222.
Your child is 3 points below the cut-off. Last year, the child 5 points below (215 when the cut-off was 220) was eventually offered, so you have a pretty reasonable chance. Nobody can say it is a certain chance, obviously.
It's another wait unfortunately until 26 March to find out where you stand on the waiting list.
I am assuming BV was a higher choice on your form than the school you were offered.
