I agree Macmum, there's lots of time. I'd actually be encouraged that you've moved 5 spaces in just a week.

Thanks both!

I just feel in limbo and it's never too far from my thoughts. I never, ever thought I'd get so wrapped up in it. I think the reason I am is because my son loved the school, he was so upset that he hadn't automatically made it in, when I really hoped/believed he'd done enough. Telling him the bad news on 1st March was truly awful.

On the plus side, if he does eventually make it in, I think it'll mean so much more to him after all the ups and downs. In the meantime, I continue to 'warm him up' to the school he was allocated by dropping the pro's in here and there (will stay with primary friends, less travelling, probably less homework and still an 'outstanding' school!)

I'll keep my fingers crossed but will update if/when there's any movement. This information might be useful to someone else down the line.

Thanks again!

Mash1967, the same thing happened to us for QMGS. We started at 19th and moved down to 20th! It doesn't feel good but it's just one of those things!

has anyone been able to get through to the foundation office today?
I can't get through; I've emailed but no reply there either.
Can't get info from birmingham council as they don't hold the waiting list information for Handsworth boys grammar, and can't get through to HGS

Will it have something to do with it being the holidays?

Just found out my son is 21st on the waiting list for Handsworth. His score is 207 & was 19th on the waiting list on 26th March.

Hmmm...just seen an email now, apparently, there are lots of examples of Consortium not having child’s details. DC scored 211 and LA tried to say he's 337 on WL when they don't even hold the WL. There are gaps in the WL position being communicated, shocking!

With a score of 211 surely you've got offered a place at a Grammar School?

Only if it was our first choice on the CAF, it wasn't. It should be interesting to know where 211 sits on the WL now.
