Are you or your children interested in bees?

Post by JaneEyre »

I remember how my DS was interested in bees after watching the Bee movie! Well, that is many years ago!! He is now in sixth form! Here is a (free) activity you and/or your children might enjoy:

From May to August, Apiary meetings are held EVERY Wednesday evening at 7p.m. Visitors are welcome ! :D

Not your region but if there is a wider interest in bees as your DCs schools then maybe suggest this as a club. My DD's school have an Apiary club and have bees on site and sell honey and beeswax products to raise funds for the school. They got lottery funding to set it up.

Thank you for the idea, Pettswoodfiona! :D I am not sure there will be a parent in my DS’s school who would be able to set up such a club but I will ask via our parents' association!! Due to the government’s cuts in education  , all ways to rise money are good ideas :!:
