Hi, sorry if this has already been raised, I tried searching for an answer but couldn't find one. Do invigilators let the kids know how much time they have left eg 5 mins, 2 mins etc. If so, is there a standard?

Also, any rules on type of watch dc can take? Ie can they take a standard digital watch with a timer/stopwatch?

Thanks in advance.

As far as I can remember, the invigilators do not really do much more than press play on the CD. Any instructions are on there - in the past there has been time warnings but that is not to say there will be in any future ones.

In the real exams (eg GCSE/A levels) stopwatch timersof any sort are strictly banned and can result in disqualification - I believe the rules are the same for CEM testing. Standard watches only - learning to understand a clock and how that relates to time left is a skill that all children hoping for entry to a GS should be able to easily master, unless they have specific learning needs, of course.
