How to apply for a grammer school
Hi all
I was wondering about any guidance on how to apply for Birmingham's grammer schools Sep 2019 entry.
I went to the admission website, it says application is closed .. . .

Just to confirm, is this for starting school in Sept 2019, or sitting the test?SalamS wrote:Hi all

It looks like you took the test in Warwickshire - I think if you want to apply for the B'ham schools you have to put them on the CAF for your LEA

You put all the state schools, wherever they are, for which you are applying (unless one of them is Thomas Telford, which is outside the system) on the CAF that you submit to through your own local authority. This instruction will be on your LA's website, as it is central to the whole application and allocations system.SalamS wrote:I am in Rugby

You have still got time to go back in to your CAF, amend your application and (very importantly - this point will also be emphasised on the website) resubmit the form.

Re: How to apply for a grammer school
Is it the case that if you sit the Warwickshire test your score is automatically shared with Birmingham and you are given a score for the Birmingham GS, or do you have to request this at time of applying to sit the test?
If it is the latter, did you agree to share the score with Birmingham and have you a score for the Birmingham GS?
