Re: Why have the cut offs jumped so much?
Do you forsee CHB moving more points on waiting list year in comparison to last year. It only moved 1 point by June 2018?
Im also a little confused - if School offers 30 over PAN what happens if those extra students do not move. How would the School accomadate the extra Children?

Tony Singh, last year waiting list movement was terribly slow, hardly anyone (correct me if i'm wrong) was offered a place at CHB from the waiting list. Due to the pallava with Birmingham and Walsall allocations this year and the fact that CHB did not offer over the PAN, I foresee alot of movement on all waiting lists. Fingers crossed for all children and parents who are awaiting some movement.

Hopefully the cut offs will be confirmed tomorrow.

I have just noticed that for KEFW boys they have noted the cut off to be:
King Edward VI Five Ways School
Boys:
2017 233(211)
2018 237(213)
2019 TBC
but for the girls it was a cut off of 232(207) in 2018
So this 237 non pp and 213 pp must be the cut offs for 2019.

That's very interesting. So that means all those admitted with a score of 232-237 were girls?bluejay wrote:I have just noticed that for KEFW boys they have noted the cut off to be:

I understand, the 232 (207) was the cut off for both boys and girls last year. That's very interesting. So that means all those admitted with a score of 232-237 were girls?
It looks like when they have added the 2019 column they have inadvertently put this years (2019) cut off score of 237 (213) under the 2018 section.
Re: Why have the cut offs jumped so much?
I think this is a mistake on the B/Ham consortium website - there is no differentiation or quota between boys and girls admissions at KEFWbluejay wrote:I have just noticed that for KEFW boys they have noted the cut off to be:

Re: Why have the cut offs jumped so much?
Ah ok I did wonder. That makes more sense.
Re: Why have the cut offs jumped so much?
The KEFW discussion is suggesting that KEFW only offered 180 places - so didn't offer over PAN. If neither CHB or FW offered over PAN then I wonder if the other schools did the same. Knowing this, along with the fact that Birmingham and Walsall appeared to make some double offers, is encouraging for all us waiting-list peopleSshelo wrote:I just spoke to KFW and they confirmed they only offered 180 places . What does this mean in terms on waiting list movement and my sons chances to be offered a place ?

I’m sorry but I don’t understand the over Pan thing and the the impact that has on waiting lists. I’ve read on other posts how CHB waiting list may move more this year than last because of the PAN issue can someone kindly explain please?
