Hello all
My son was allocated a place at KE Aston.
Which we accepted
Yesterday I received a phone call offering a place in KEFW.
We live in Moseley I’m don’t knkw which school to go for
As I’m concerned about travel.
Please could you give me your thoughts as to which school is better?
Thanks

If travel is a significant issue with one of them, then the other one is better, surely?

I think travel to FW is slightly easier than Aston from Moseley, where I live as well, as with FW you go against the flow of traffic and I have done this journey in less than 15 mins, when my daughter joined the sixth form for a short period before moving to CHG. Aston would take me at least 25 minutes from Moseley as will hit traffic going into Birmingham City Centre. (Russell Road, Bristol Road and around the Matalan roundabout on the are a nightmare as this is also my route to work...horrible!;
Hope this helps.

How would your son get to school - are you planning on taking him or getting the bus / train? The West Midlands journey planner is a good source of info if you’re thinking of public transport and will give you a good idea for both.

Also consider which school you both preferred. I’m assuming it was originally FW if you ranked it higher on your CAF? Think back to the reasons you did this, and are they still valid? Does one school offer something the othe doesn’t in terms of subjects, sports, extra curricular?
