Have to rely on the allocation process now.
Preference order is the only way to do it

I remember a similar calculation in Warwickshire, (back in the days of Okanagan - remember them Hermanmunster?) They always said in the top 230 ranked scorers, around one third would go elsewhere (Birmingham grammars, private, Worcestershire) and that rough calculation has always been right (up until the point they stopped giving the boy/girl split and included Birmingham who shared, in the rankings).

As HM says, there will be movement - how much off the waiting list after NAD is the question (although I seem to recall the waiting lists were fairly slow this year...)

Has that page been updated since yesterday?

It looks like Handsworth Girls and Camp Hill Boys have now confirmed that their intake will increase in 2020.

Yes, the wording of the page has been amended so the extra intake looks to be definite.

That's fantastic news. An extra 62 places across the consortium and extra places a QMGS can only mean good things. Let's hope those parents who wanted those schools have actually listed it high enough on their CAF.

There’s still just enough time to submit/ resubmit!

Have QMGS increased their intake for 2020 as stated above? What is the number now?

Qmgs have 180 places this year, last year it was 150. Most of these will be for pupil premium children.

Thank you to LouLou for posting the foundation link. It's very interesting, particularly regarding FW where they seem to have far more getting high enough (PP and non-PP) than they have places. Considering they will only have 135 non-PP places those within catchment but at the outer reaches are presumably getting a little more nervous now?

I imagine many in FW catchment will opt for KES/KEHS/EHS/CHB/CHG though...

There really are (almost) no guarantees under the new system (PP and siblings in catchment aside).
