Could someone please advise to gain entry would a child generally need tuition to pass the exam?

DD is just finishing year 5 at EHS. Girls have been given generic key stage 2 English and maths revision books and a creative writing workbook to help them prepare for the entrance test over the summer. Hope that helps.
