What number is too high on a waitlist

Can I ask what number on the waitlist I should give up Hope on. We are appealing also but I would value everyone’s opinion. This is for WGHS. Many thanks. It breaks my heart I had my operation the day she was doing her exam. She is currently at a middle school and lacks challenge in class

the trouble is that it can vary hugely by school and sometimes by year - in the midlands there are quite a few selective schools and a child taking up a private school place may give up a GS place, which may then be taken by a child who has another GS place ( but not the one they want) ... and so it goes on. All the movement can take some time to filter through.

Where are you on the list and what score did your DD get?

My daughter got 240 and she is on 8th place at waiting list for Camp Hill Girls.
