General KEG Test Question

I would like to know from your experiences of the forth coming test in Nov for KEG. Since the tests are timed and broken into topics, is my child allowed to take a stopwatch into the test itself and keep track on time etc. The stopwatch beeps once when you press start and beeps once if you press stop. Other than that, it is a normal digital stopwatch which does not make any other sounds or cause distractions. Would the test centre permit such devices, which is a innocent timer, no more, or are they disallowed.
Any comments?
