SWBGS Proposed Expansion Consultation
A letter went out to all parents on Friday about the above,
In essence it is to take the 5th class from year 7 rather then year 9.
Additionally to expand catchment area to include Lane End and Stokenchurch (this makes perfect geographical sense) andto encourage more pupils on pp to attend.

BGS are doing something similar. Mostly to do with the other extra money, I'm sure, rather than expanding access out if the goodness of their hearts!
scary mum
Re: SWBGS Proposed Expansion Consultation
I’m sure totally to do with the extra money but it does make sense to take class 5 from year 7 rather then year 9 (the year 9 intake tends not to be local) - it should also ensure all of catchment get in (at the moment they are only going to 3 mikes). Personally I would be sad to see it go over 5 classes as that would change the feel of tge school.
Re: SWBGS Proposed Expansion Consultation
I got this letter too as my eldest son is in year 10 and it's very annoying seeing as at our appeal last week for my other son the school were adamant there is no way they can take extra pupils because of the way the school is built, age, lack of land etc. Suddenly they are going to be able to by 2020!
