Re: historical data/statistics
The outcome is because it has gaps between the bars it can't be a histogram and consequently we have to write to top medical journals like The Lancet and tell them to stop calling things like this "histograms"...BucksBornNBred wrote:Can you please tell us the outcome of your PMs? On Googling it certainly seems to be a bar chart and not a histogram, but I am really curious now.

Re: historical data/statistics
I thought that histograms displayed "continuous" data whereas bar charts showed categorical data. Mind you, that's going back a while to my school days so happy to defer to the maths professionals.
In my mind, it's sort of similar to the difference between "less" and "fewer". "Less" is used incorrectly all the time. "Fewer" should be used when the things being referred to can be counted, "less" is used when things are measured.
e.g. there are fewer legs on a bird than on a horse but there is less time available for counting them. You can't have "less legs" or "less people".

Hi Aqua, do you also have the data for feeder schools and gender please? I couldn’t find it on the website.
