how to work out the total score

we are doing DIY 11+, if my son does tests at home - how can I calculate if he scored 121 in total?

Short answer is that you can’t. Sorry.

The score is dependent on how everyone taking it does.

it's because there is a standard pass rate - each year 33% (ish) of entrants "pass" with 121 and the other scores are generated from that.

So if 100 cavemen take the test one year, 33% of them will sore 121 and above, 67% will get <121

If 100 Einsteins sit the test the next year, 33% of them will pass. 67% won't.
