KS2 levels vs VR

This post relates to Rob Clark's current topic on "KS2 Levels". There was a recent study* involving ~80,000 children which concluded that KS2 points scores are actually a better indicator of future performance than VR. Just confirms Guest55's experience! The "best" combination was QR/NVR + VR + maths (as used by Kent, for example). I think Bucks Appeal Panels are given the same rather dubious advice as Parents & Heads on this:
