Vacancies after 12+ allotment

Hi All,

Any info on vacancies available after 12+ allotment this year, especially Burnham Grammar school ?

You won't get any firm figures until well into September as believe it or not, parents/pupils who have accepted places at a school way back in March/April/May sometimes have a change of heart/circumstances and do not tell the school or LEA in question.

The first the school knows about it is when they don't turn up on the first day back of the Autumn term.

I am sure G55/Sally-Anne will be more specific as to when in September/October PAN are released to give you an idea.

The quickest way might be to telephone the school in September to ask about numbers!

Snippet about Chesham High 12+ allocations this year:

All 12+ places (for Sept 09) have been offered to anyone who expressed a preference for the school. 44 places have so far been taken up out of 50. That suggests there might still be a handful of places left after 12+ allocation.
