12+

Post by m12345 »

Hi

does anyone know if it is possible for DD to sit the 12+ exam if she didn't sit the 11+? She did much better in her sats than expected - 2x5s and a 4, we live on the border of Herts and Bucks.

thanks

Welcome to the forum ...

Yes of course it is possible to sit the 12+ - just be aware there are limited places should she qualify. We will try to find out which schools have vacancies in September.

You will need to register/apply - keep an eye on:
http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/bcc/schools/a ... nsfer.page?

It will be updated soon I suspect.

12+ papers

Post by Teach »

In Gloucestershire pupils sit 2 papers for the 11+. The first one has been likened to the 12+ paper in Bucks

ie For the 12+ the answers are not shown on the answer sheet, merely boxes containing the letter name of the answers. The answers appear as in the following examples:

1. [ A ] [ B ] [ C ] [ D ] [ E ]

2. [ A ] [ B ] [C ] [ X ] [ Y ] [ Z ]

The child must draw a pencil line across the letter name of the correct answer.

I would like DD to practise this style - as it is different from the NFER style which is used for the second paper.

Does anyone know where I could get some sample questions from please?
