A Forum regular has let us know that there are emails going around offering "mock 11+" tests in the run-up to this year's 11+ tests in Bucks and elsewhere.

We advise you to look very closely at any such tests before signing your child up for them as preparation for Bucks.

Firstly, they may not be appropriate for the Bucks test (VR only) and secondly, the results will apparently not be available until after the real tests. They are therefore not going to provide any useful information on how your child performed in time for you to change tack, and are only likely to increase your child's stress at an already stressful time.

The 3 official practice tests in school should be perfectly adequate (provided they are conducted properly) to prepare your child for the environment of the real tests.
