In the 11+ the questions are in groups of five or six [except for type Z]. There is an example before each section so it is always clear which type it is!
In the second part of your example there are two answer options that would fit with swap as a simile i.e. exchange and trade. This is an indication that the answer is not a simile.
There is only one answer from each of the groups that could be an anagram.
