A couple of questions regarding the 12+. I have read the sticky re allocations being via catchment & distance, would having a sibling already at the GS (Chesham Grammar) also help move one 'up' the list (we are in catchment)?

Also wondering if anyone can recommend a tutor as considering going for 12+.

Yes, sibling priority is given for the 12+, so you child will be very high on the list.
