School Record

HI Etienne & Sally-Anne,
a question on obtaining a copy of the school record please.
I know a school cannot refuse a request for the school record (Data Protection Act) but does this include information on their ‘database’?
I obtained some useful information for my son during his 11+ appeal and would like to receive similar for my other son. They are not being particularly forthcoming at the moment and I just want to get my facts straight before discussing further.
