Dr Challoners Grammar

Post by Guest »

With the significant narrowing of the catchment area for the boys school this year, I would be interested to know whether everyone for whom this school is their sole catchment school succeeded in getting a place at the first allocation stage.

It is difficult to tell the overall picture until the 'final' allocation information is published in the next Secondary transfer booklet - places may well be declined.

There was a least one boy that I know of who did not get an ofer from Challoners when that was there only catchment school. As they are very close to the area taken I would expect that they will eventually gain a place through the waiting list.

Is there anywhere that has only one catchment grammar?

We live in Seer Green and Challoners is our only catchment Grammer for boys. We used to have John Hampden but this has been removed from catchment.

Farnham Common has only Burnham Grammar if you're a boy but Burnham Grammar plus Beaconsfield High if you're a girl!
