Just wondering if there are any published results for schools performance in 11+ taken 2010 ? Am interested to see how my school, Stokenchurch Primary, compares to others (sadly I know it will be badly). Many thanks anyone that can help.

The most recent figures available are for 2009, and you can see them on this thread: http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... 12&t=16514" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It says page unavailable as they are experiencing technical difficulties. I would say that our local school varies enormously from year to year so it may not be much help, although interesting all the same.

Works fine for me - maybe a temporary glitch?

Matman please do not be sad. It has been discussed at length on many threads on this forum, but 11+ pass results are less a reflection on the school (as we all know state primary schools in Bucks are not allowed to do anything other than the Bucks CC guidelines set down on 11 plus) and more a reflection on how many parents decide to tutor (either paid for, or by themselves with help from this site) their children.

I don't like to disagree with you, Mrs Chubbs, but I am going to have to.

Success in the 11+ derives from an excellent vocabulary, good spelling, rock solid times tables and the ability to manipulate numbers confidently. A school providing that background for its pupils will achieve good 11+ results. If the parents are generally rich enough to be able to pay for 11+ tutoring the results will be even better.

If a school does not provide that grounding, tutoring will not make the difference. I can think of quite a few schools where a majority of parents pay for 11+ tutoring but the pass rate is still below the County average because the school is failing the children in the basics.
