Birthrate for 2012 intake

Does anyone have information on whether the current Year 5 (taking the 11 plus in 2011) is an average birthrate year, or above or below average? I am wondering if we put an out of county comprehensive on our form whether we have a chance of getting it if this is a high birthrate year. I read somewhere that the current Year 2 has a blip, with an increased number of children. Any information greatly appreciated.

Similar topic is discussed in the 'Myths and Legends' Sticky under Bucks. Information of the Bucks state schools cohort can be seen as of last year.

You can see in this link that in 2001 the UK birth rate dropped to a record low.

This of course doesn't include the children in the current Year 5 born in the Winter term of 2000.
