Sunday Times last Sunday

Post by jabba7 »

Hi

Does anyone know how the Bucks schools did in the Sunday Times Schools league last Sunday. I have tried to find it online but you have to subscribe and didnt get the paper on Sunday.

I'm mainly interested in where RGS came but also generally how schools in Bucks did.

Thanks

Hi Jacky, wasn’t around yesterday as employer unreasonably expected me to work all day but as no one else has answered in the meantime:

RGS was 43rd (up from 54th)

Challoner’s Girls was top at 16, though I’m guessing that’s of less interest to you…
Challoner’s boys was 21st
Beaconsfield High 42
Sir William Borlase 45
Aylesbury High 63
Royal Latin School, Buckingham 67
Aylesbury Grammar 68
Wycombe High 75

I can}t see Chesham Grammar or John Hampden in the top 100.

Wow, there are 20 schools above Dr Challoner's Boys. Does anyone have list of those 20 please?

Have tried to cut and paste but the Sunday times is too clever. All the schools regularly discussed on here - Henrietta Barnet was top. QE Barnet was in there, Tiffin, St etc etc

Schools don't have to release the data so that may be why some are not mentioned.

Considering that the Bucks 11+ selects the top 30% the results are amazing - think how selective QE, HBS etc are in comparison.

- This only proves that UK's most able (read - "tutored") kids parents choose to live in Bucks and at the same time these schools help keep them on the top for rest of school tenure.

~This definitely is a good option for next generation if you are a parent.

I still would love to see top 20 school list :)
