KS2 SATs are externally marked, so they are an independent assessment.slough mum wrote:Silly to use the same for 13+. They should look at end of year 7 results, that would be fair.
Obviously an appeal panel would look at the Y7 results though, and if there was sufficient evidence of improved performance compared to Y6 (more than 2 sub-levels in one year, for example), would be likely to take a favourable view and allow the appeal.
