Milton Keynes applicant for 2013

Post by Junior_H »

Hi there

We live in Milton Keynes and our son will be off to secondary school in 2013.

There are a few things I'm not sure of so would be so grateful if someone could give me some advice.

As we live in Milton Keynes, I'm wondering if it is very unlikely nowdays to be able to get a place at either Ayelsbury or Buckingham because of the distance. How true is this do you think?

Also, we are weighing up paying for tutoring vs home tutoring. Am I right in thinking that we would only need tutoring in verbal reasoning and that both the tests he would sit are on this?

The other question I have is, how on earth do I register him to take the 11+? As we are in MK and not Bucks he does not attend a partner school so I have no idea how to do this!

Thanks for reading and I'm sorry, I realise you must get asked the same questions so often!

You can check whether you might gain a place from the past allocation profiles here: http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/school ... n-profiles" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yes, and the tests for out-of-County pupils are at autumn half term, so don't book a holiday!

You apply for testing directly to Bucks CC. The form is usually on their website in around late June/early July. The school choices go on the CAF that you complete for MK.

Don't worry - we are on auto-pilot. :D
