How are the scores

My son is scoring 75/80 in papers the pass mark is 121 how do I work out the mark?

You don't need to - that bit relates to standardisation!
All you need is scores of above 86% - a bit more for a September birthday, a bit less for an August birthday - and your child is doing fine.
