Now if you are asked at appeal if a child was tutored you can honestly say "yes, but it didn't make any difference."

I called all my students as soon as I found out about the changes to the Latymer exam.

Most of them are applying to multiple schools so they are still doing traditional VR, NVR, Maths and English but now I've added cloze and other CEM type work to their preparation as well - most are applying to Latymer too. Their work load has increased as some schools on their lists are still doing their old style tests.

The ones who are doing the Latymer test only are now doing additional Cloze and Vocab work. Any additional VR they use has been whittled down to cloze/vocab types only. Story writing has taken a back seat although we still do it to keep the English strong but will not be to the really high standards required by Latymer previously. Maths has got more problem solving type papers now rather than just the Latymer style questions.

I agree that it will be tough for the group tutors to tailor the tuition to individual needs as their courses are not designed to take individual needs into account.

At risk of being removed, but answering the OP's question..........

Personally I've put together 10 cloze exercises based upon the Yr6 Word List.

I'm using the S&S comprehension books, but supplementing the exercises with additional material.

Non-verbal reasoning I'm leaving for the moment.

Lots of work problems for maths - rewritng L5/L6 questions to make them more 'wordy'.

Lots of times table practice.

Z type questions.

BUT, very importantly, Vocabulary, vocabulary, vocabulary

Good idea! Do you have a link to this list?

I'm asking mine to bring me new words they've encountered while reading.

Is it this one? I'm not sure if that's still current, but it gives some ideas.
