Hi,
I have query about test scores. e.g. If student A got 141 (out side catchment area) and Student B got 121 (inside catchment). Which one will get priority - Is it A or B. I understand 121 is qualifying marks but not sure about priority. Please comment.

Thanks
Tand

I think for Bucks you just have to get at least 121 and once you do the score is not relevant any more

That's correct - 121 & over the score is irrelevant and all the usual allocation criteria apply.

My understanding is that student b (in catchment) would be higher up the allocation list than student a (score of 141) because student b achieved the score and is in catchment. I'm not aware of any of the bucks schools allocating based on the ranking of the score but happy to be corrected for those schools I'm not familiar with

Denying a place to an in catchment child who achieved the required 121 because of an out of catchment child scoring highly would make a mockery of the whole system wouldn't it? The child's parents would not put in for a selection review - because their child scored at least 121 so they would not need to - so how could they then be denied a place on Allocations Day? It would not be fair.
