I am told that the number of Appeal Reviews lodged under the new system this year is 848. That is a very similar number to previous years- circa. 850 - 900.

No great thoughts as yet, other than that I think the architects of the system may have hoped to have fewer cases than in the past.

I wonder how many parents will have passed on the opportunity for a review at this stage and will lodge an appeal in the summer? The aggregated numbers of "appeals" might end up much higher than those seen in previous years.
