Please advise if any DC is travelling this route....as we look to move into one of these areas.
Any idea about good primary schools (and seconday options for future) for DD in Year 4 in North Maidenhead/Bourne End/Cookham/Furze Platt area.

There is a bus that goes along the A4 at around 7:30am past the Windsor Castle pub, the route is run by Neales - you will need to register with them and hope you get a place. There is also a train from Furze Platt station to Marlow (via Bourne End) that leave FP at 7:45ish. The train takes 20 mins, with a 15 min walk at the Marlow end. The bus drops off at around 8:20ish depending on traffic. The train back is at 16:05, next train 17:05.

Marlow is pretty bad for traffic at school pickup/drop-off if you are thinking of driving. I see a lot of people drive over Winter Hill and drop off at the Guide Hall just past Longridge, and let their kids walk from there.

All my DCs are going/went to Furze Platt Infants/Juniors, I have no complaints. Eldest DC now goes to SWB, so we are in the same boat. The train means that DC doesn't have to get up quite so early in the morning...

Thank you Wodev for your input....so train it will be for me too once I move.
Any idea whether many children commute on the Maidenhead-Marlow train route to go to SWBGS?
As we are new to the area, it will good to know that there are many doing this round trip daily.

I don't know the exact number, but its around 10. Some are already on the train from Maidenhead station, loads join at Cookham and Bourne End.
