Anyone else stressed? 2 weeks to go!!

Arrrgh!!! Is anyone else feeling stressed? I can't sleep!
My daughter is sitting the new exam in 2 weeks and I am so
nervous for her! Her latest SATS and CAT2 tests indicate
that she should pass but I'm still worried!
She is desperate to join her sister at our nearest
Grammar school!
I think it's the fear of the unknown with the new
test!
Anyone else feeling like I am?!!

YES! I can't sleep either and I am craving chocolate like crazy. DS is eerily calm so I have to control myself. I can't wait for it to be over but DS2 will be sitting the exam next year!

Glad I'm not the only one! My daughter is worried too
so I'm keeping calm and positive on the outside
but inside I'm not!!
I do remember feeling stressed with my eldest
3 years ago but somehow this time it seems worse!

It is worrying - I think it will be worse after the exam though - the wait for the results. :(

Very stressed too, I really struggle to go to sleep as I am worried. dd is alright, she gets stressed sometimes but overall she is doing great, much better than me.
Does anyone knows when the results will be? I saw 11th October somewhere, is it for everyone or just the Bucks children? Would it be a letter or an email?

The 2014 Admissions Guide has not yet been published, but these are the arrangements that have applied in previous years.

Results for children attending Bucks state schools and Partner schools (in or out of county) will be handed to the children in an envelope addressed to the parent/guardian at the end of the school day on 11th October.

Results for the remaining out of county children are posted first class on Thursday 10th October, to arrive (hopefully) on Friday 11th October.

Yes, my stomach churns whenever I think about the tests - which is often! Have been making DS do a variety of practice exercises most days during the holidays, but with everything being 'unknown' I'm finding it impossible to judge whether he is doing well enough or not! I keep having to remind myself that cream always rises to the top - he is a very able and intelligent boy and if, for whatever reason, he doesn't get the opportunity to join DS1 at the RGS, he will, I am sure, thrive elsewhere.

(That's the rational part of my brain talking there!)

Good luck to all DCs out there!

Drop in from the Essex region here , can I join :D My dd will be doing CEM for Chelmsford County High in 2 weeks time as well. I'm a bit calmer today but have been a nervous wreck for the last few weeks. It is the first time we will have done a CEM exam in Essex and as with Bucks no one really knows how hard it will be or what to really expect other than looking at other regions's comments and familiarisation sheets

Actually I take it back - I am scared stiff for her :? Actually managed a few nights without waking up at 3am in a panic now though :D

Hi AracunaGirl, hang in there!

Its scary not knowing whats on the test, and I feel like we are working blindly but as long as we have tried and all the extra work has been good for ds and me too!

Good luck on your 11 plus journey!
