Aylesbury high school offers the right balance between academic and extra curricular but it is 40 minutes away. Royal Latin is 20 minutes away. I have not seen Henry Flloyd as yet. My preference at this stage is: 1) AHS 2)Royal Latin 3) Henry Flloyd.
Would love to hear from parents who have experienced this schools (as parents). I know AHS is a specialist language school but how is their science offering? Do children study Shakespear from Y7 at AHS?

My sons best friend attends ahs and enjoys it, and she is very science strong.
My niece went to floyd, and it caters for those that love the arts and drama very well.

I have to ask why do you want to know if they are tortured with the bard as tender 12 year olds :?: surely it is bad enough to be thrown back to twissng and twassing for the gcse? As an adult i can appreciate his work, as a child i rued the day he was born

Check the allocation profiles, if you are 40 miles away it may be nudging a bit too far out for aylesbury, the floyd however accomodates all distances.

AHS is a girls school so not sure the child you mention goes there if it is a 'he'.

Personally I think the Floyd is the best of the three - its mixed and has outstanding pastoral care. If offers some amazing clubs and extra-curricular opportunities.
