12 plus results

After the complete fiasco of the last year of the old style 11 plus, where you pretty much needed full marks ( in catchment! ) to get your 121. My DC took The Late Transfer Test at SHF in January and we received his results yesterday and he passed with ***. He is desperate to move schools as he is unhappy ( and bored!) at his current school. Doesn't anyone know if there will be any places in Year 8 (if any?)

8 spaces were known to be unfilled in July before the current year 7s began. Some may not have taken their places, some may have started and left the school and others may have moved into the area and qualified since. Unless someone can get accurate information from a decent source, this is all there is to go on. Even if the number of vacancies is known, no-one knows the locations of the children qualifying at 12+. I'm afraid it means wait and see.
